How and where do you take over and return the motorhome

Our vehicles are picked up and returned at our convenient site in Glasgow. Please see ‘Vehicle Pickup Location’ in contact us. We can provide a local airport pick-up service (Glasgow, Prestwick or Edinburgh) at competitive rates if required, please request this at time of booking.
Your own vehicle may be left at our site entirely at your own risk during the rental period. The site does have security fencing and video monitoring and has a security guard patrol at night when the site is locked.
Our personnel will take time to instruct you on the correct and best usage of the motorhome.
Our motorhome assignments are carefully planned and we must remind our customers to keep to the return dates and times as agreed in the contract. If a vehicle is returned late we must unfortunately charge £40 per hour excess. If any damages are incurred by us due to the late return of the vehicle (e.g. claims for compensation by the next customer) we reserve the right to render compensation claims against you.
The vehicles are cleaned inside before they are handed over and must be returned in a similarly clean condition. If a full or partial cleaning of the interior is required or emptying of the toilet cassette is necessary there will be a charge of £50 for each.
The vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank.
The vehicles must only be used in the UK. If travel outside the UK is required please contact us and we will discuss your requirement with our insurers.

Booking and payment conditions

Reservations are only valid with a written confirmation from First Class Motorhomes. A deposit of £300 is to be made by the customer on receipt of the written confirmation. First Class Motorhomes must be in receipt of the balance of the rental price 28 days prior to the rental date.  The full rental price must be made immediately if the rental date is less than 28 days from confirmation date.  Cancellation up to 28 days prior to rental date will result in loss of deposit and payment of 25% of rental charge. Cancellation between 14 and 28 days prior to rental date will result in loss of deposit and payment of 50% of rental charge. Cancellation after 14 days prior to rental date will result in loss of deposit and payment of full rental charge.
A security deposit of £500 must be made prior to vehicle handover. The security deposit will be returned in full upon the undamaged return of the vehicle and after completion of the final accounts.
An Insurance Bond of £1,000 must be made prior to vehicle handover. The Insurance Bond can be reduced to £500 at a charge of £10 per day. The Insurance Bond will be returned in full upon the undamaged return of the vehicle and after completion of the final accounts.

Drivers

Our Auto Trail Apache 634U 2-berth vehicles have a gross weight of 3500Kgs and so can be driven on a regular UK class B license.
As our Auto Trail Apache 700 4-berth vehicles have a gross weight of 4000Kgs you will require category C1 on your UK license.  Generally, if you passed your driving test before 1st January 1997 you will have category C1 on your license. Please ensure that you have category C1 on your license prior to booking one of our 4-berth vehicles.

Drivers must be aged between the ages of 25 and 70 and have held a license for at least 3 years.
Drivers over 70 please contact us prior to booking so that we can get approval for you from our insurers.
Non-UK driving license holders please contact us prior to booking so that we can get approval for you from our insurers.
Second drivers can be added at a charge of £3 per day.

Smoking and Pets

Smoking and pets are not allowed in the motorhome at any time.
